Eastern Aero Marine, Inc., Inc. DBA EAM Worldwide (EAM), with a 74-year history, is a manufacturer and performs maintenance of critical Aviation Emergency Survival equipment trusted by airlines, aircraft manufacturers, governments, and operators around the world. Our life vests, life rafts, evacuation slides, and survival kits are sold to an international customer base in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, North America, and South America. Customers include OEM’s, airlines, and after-market customers. When an aircraft experiences an emergency, the products we build may become the last line of protection for hundreds of passengers.
Job Summary
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, manufacture, and continuous improvement of EAM Worldwide products by managing engineering changes, maintaining accurate product documentation, troubleshooting technical issues, performing Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, and providing engineering support to production, quality, suppliers, and customers. This role ensures engineering documentation is accurate, product changes are effectively managed, manufacturing issues are resolved, and customer requirements are met while maintaining compliance with applicable company, customer, and aerospace quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical engineering experience; aerospace experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD required; proficiency in SolidWorks preferred.
- Experience with engineering change management, technical documentation, RCCA, and product testing.
- Working knowledge of GD&T, Bills of Material (BOMs), and engineering drawings; familiarity with AS9100 and ERP/PDM systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
